Assist the Site Coordinator with the general operation of day to day after-school programming at a designated LEARN partner school;
Serve as liaison and foster positive relationships with school administration, teachers, staff, parents and students;
Assist with the planning and coordination of programming at the school site with input from school administration, students, teachers, parents, and other key stakeholders.
Interact with partner community-based organizations that facilitate after school activities at the site in collaboration with the program;
Assist Site Coordinator with the check-in/out process of program-related technology that will be used by students, front-line staff, and/or community partners;
Assist Site Coordinator with managing supplies and age appropriate curriculum development and review;
Assist with reviewing lesson plans for enrichment activities led by front-line staff;
Assist with the training and supervision of on-site after school program staff, both college and high school student staff;
Assist Site Coordinator with completing necessary administrative tasks, such as student rosters, recruiting new student enrollment, processing timesheets, and evaluating staff members;
Assist Site Coordinator in creating marketing materials, monthly calendars, newsletters, Parent Square postings, and information to be shared with students, school staff and office staff;
Assist in communicating with parents daily regarding student progress;
Assist in managing staff schedules/hours and site budgets;
Monitor and track student attendance in the after school programming, both electronically and original hard copy;
Meet with teachers, principals, and other instructional day staff on a regular basis or as assigned;
Assist the Site Coordinator with timely distribution and collection of evaluation instruments;
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled upper division college student or college graduate AND at least one year of experience working with youth and parents in an educational setting.
Language and Computer Skills:
Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred. Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese language skills also desired. Must have strong writing skills and competence with Google Suite and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must have an interest in working with at-risk youth to help them achieve their highest potential. Must be able to follow instructions and have excellent organizational skills, solutions-oriented, attention to details, and sound judgment. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the confidence and ability to communicate constructive feedback to LEARN employees. Must be a team player. Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents. Must be punctual, dependable, and responsive to supervision.
Physical Skills:
Must be able to lift and carry small loads (up to 25 lbs.) and stand for prolonged hours.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT AND BENEFITS:
This position requires the candidate to be available for work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
